Making patterns in Illustrator.

I used the shape tools to create the shapes, then I used the pen tool to distort them, i used effects to change them around by bloating them, I also used the object -Pattern-Make method. I think this pattern looks like an old computer screen when its crashing. I thought it was easy to create this pattern but the colors don't really look very attractive. The pattern looks too large also.
